PROSPECT Hospice is bringing back its Spring Run for the first time in four years.

After pausing for the pandemic, the event will return on March 12, 2023 with the choice of three distances - a 2.5km fun run, or the 5km and 10km multi-terrain routes at Stanton Country Park.

All runners will receive a medal as they cross the finish line, and the 5km and 10km runs will be chip timed. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the 10km run.

Money raised by the event will help pay for the hospice's vital end-of-life care services.

Head of income, Sheryl Crouch, said: “Not being able to hold events had a huge impact on donations to the hospice.

"Thankfully, we’re now back into the swing of it and, with a few events under our belt, it’s wonderful to be able to bring back some of our supporter favourites with added features.

“Our spring run was a popular event with hospice fundraisers and is a lovely way to banish the winter blues and embrace the outdoors again as spring begins.

“Just £25 in sponsorship will help ensure a nurse is there for a patient either at the hospice or at home for a whole hour.”
