People had a recent scare in Corsham when it was thought that there was a live firearm at a local address
Corsham Neighbourhoods Team received intelligence from the community that there was a potential live firearm in an address in the town.
A spokesperson for Corsham Police said: "Specialist Ops and The Corsham Neighbourhoods Team reacted swiftly to this intelligence and attended the address locating the firearm.
"It was assessed by Specialist Officers at scene, and it was deemed to be deactivated so it poses no threat to the community."
While in attendance at the property 10 cannabis plants were found in the garden, which was seized by the Corsham Neighbourhoods Team and removed from the property.
No arrests were made, and enquiries are ongoing.
