MORE than 2.5 million coronavirus vaccinations have been given to people living in Wiltshire, Bath and North-East Somerset.
Medics reached this milestone at the end of October after thousands of people aged 50 and over got their autumn booster jab.
But only 44 per cent of those eligible for the vaccination offer in the area have taken up the vaccination offer.
The Integrated Care Board for BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire is urging everyone eligible to book an appointment.
The Steam Museum is among the venues with vaccination centres. Book online at www.nhs.uk or call 119.
All adults over the age of 50 - as well as pregnant women, people with a weakened immune system, and frontline health and social care staff - are entitled to the Covid-19 autumn booster, along with a free NHS flu jab.
Flu vaccines can be obtained for free from GP practices and community pharmacies.
Adults who do not qualify for a free flu jab can still get protected by arranging to have the vaccine privately on the high street, either from a chemist, such as Boots or Lloyds, or a supermarket with an on-site pharmacy.
More information about the vaccination rollout can be found at www.bsw.icb.nhs.uk.
