Unless you've been meticulous with your planning, it’s not often a marriage proposal gets caught on camera.
But that’s exactly what happened on Saturday as Christian Moore from Swindon took a photo of his son Rowan at the Lydiard Park firework display, only to later realise he caught a couple's big moment in the background.
In one of the photos, a man can see smiling whilst getting down on one knee, whilst in the second taken moments later, the couple can be seen hugging.
The Adver has tracked down the happy couple.
24-year-old Kaija Louise Mitchell-Bawden was given the shock of her life when now-fiance Robert McMahon, 34, got down on one knee.
She said: “It was just a bit of a shock really waking up this morning and seeing it all over Facebook, I just didn’t expect it.
“It’s lovely seeing so many people congratulating us, it is one of the happiest moments of my life and I didn’t think there were any photos of it. So, it’s just really lovely.”
Asked what went through her mind when Robert proposed to her, the 24-year-old added: “I was shocked, I just couldn’t believe it. I was laughing because I was nervous but I really couldn’t be happier.”
Kaija and her partner partied well into the night, spending the night at the Power Lounge bar in the town centre.
On Sunday, Christian took to the Swindon Community Noticeboard page on Facebook to try and track down the couple.
He revealed in a comment that he "was looking through the pics and wondered what was going on as [I] thought [he] had fallen over at first".
The post has generated a lot of positivity and happiness for the couple - racking up almost 900 likes and more than 50 comments.
Among those passing on their congratulations was Toni Brack, who said: “Aww that’s lovely hope they see this x”
While Sally Cutler added: “Awww how lovely congratulations.”
Kelly-Marie Stubbs said: “That’s lovely hope the couple are found memories like this are cherished so much.”
Laura Harrison quipped: "Let's hope they didn't want to tell everyone themselves."
Mikala Dodkins added: "That’s so lovely! Made me chuckle a bit too because if she had said no, it would’ve been too noisy for anyone else to hear it! Well played sir!"
