STAFF at a busy town centre shop are packing everything away ahead of a major move.
Waterstones' Swindon bookstore has been in the Brunel Shopping Centre for many years, but it will be closed on Tuesday.
But literature lovers will not have to wait long to browse the shelves again.
The retailer aims to reopen this weekend after transferring thousands of books and settling into new premises on Canal Walk.
The upstairs section of its current two-floor home is closed to customers and the spiral staircase is cordoned off while the moving-out effort is underway.
Some empty shelves can be seen on the ground floor, but most of it still looked like business as usual while shoppers popped in for Christmas presents and personal purchases, or just to have a last look around the familiar space before the shutters come down.
The outdoor signage for the new location is ready - but filling up the inside will take a few days.
