A BOILER and heating retailer has moved its headquarters from one part of Wiltshire to the other.

Grant UK has been supplying heating products and offering customer support services for more than 25 years.

Originally trading in Salisbury, the company moved to Devizes in 2003 and has now set up a huge new site in Swindon after growing considerably.

The business has its head office, warehouse and training academy on Frankland Road in a facility that is three times larger than the previous premises, totaling more than 80,000 square feet.

With improved facilities and more storage, Grant UK hopes that its new home will allow it to continue to grow, improve and enhance its delivery of products and services to customers.

Managing director Paul Wakefield said: “Our move to Swindon marks an exciting new chapter.

“Moving premises is a significant step for any business to make, but the hard work that has gone into creating our new larger facilities will enable Grant UK and the team to settle into a site which will support our continued growth for many, many years to come.

“The road to a cleaner, low carbon future will be full of opportunities and this move to new facilities will ensure that we as a company can continue to deliver the high-quality products and services that our customers have come to expect from us.”

The official opening of the new site by Tim Pollard, principal of Pollard and Pollard, on November 3 marked the end of a 10-month renovation project.

Throughout this year, Grant UK has invested heavily in the premises to transform them into suitable spaces for the company’s needs.

The renovation project involved the entire site, installing state-of-the-art new racking in the warehouses, creating engaging workspaces for employees, and turning one of the units into training rooms and practical assessment areas for the Training Academy.

A focus on sustainability led to several environmentally friendly measures being put in place throughout the site.

A biomass heating system provides the heating and hot water, plus 768 solar panels and storage batteries were installed on the roof of both units, a system which will fulfil all their electricity demand while also feeding renewable electricity into the grid.

The choice of materials that have been fitted throughout the office spaces were based on their sustainability credentials.
