A NEW furniture shop in Swindon has welcomed its first customers.
Fabb Furniture has moved into the old Next Home store at Mannington Retail Park after management spent weeks getting the space ready.
A new sign on the building will light up Mannington Roundabout after the sun sets, and there will be a drinks reception inside throughout the weekend.
Store manager Terry Albon and brand manager Kate Cadman greeted eager shoppers who walked through the doors at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday morning.

Kate said: "We have been working on this for months and it's taken three weeks of work to get all the furniture in. It's been a team effort with our technicians and designers.
"We're very pleased that it's all come together, and delighted to be in Swindon at such a wonderful location.
"This is one of our most exciting sites to open. We are keen to be part of Swindon and work with local businesses.
"We have a rich heritage going back 150 years, and make a lot of our own furniture, which cuts out the middle man, and pass on the savings to the customer."
The two-storey site sells sofas, beds, and dining and bedroom furniture, many of which currently have special offers or reduced prices, and all have a lifetime guarantee.
Swindon Wildcats head coach Aaron Nell and new player Colby Tower stopped by to cut the ribbon.
The furniture chain is now sponsoring the town's ice hockey team for the remainder of the year.
Their brand will be visible on a rink board during matches at the Better Link Centre in West Swindon.
Before the ribbon had even been cut, people were already wandering in to have a look around and staff quickly got to work chatting to them about the different designs and styles of the homeware available.
One shopper told the Adver: "It's nice to have something like this in Swindon. There's a good layout in the store and it's airy and open.
"You can see why they chose to open here rather than in the town centre.
"We are looking for a new sofa and just wanted to see what was in here, get a feel for the place. We'll probably come back again."
There is a Fabb warehouse in Trowbridge, making beds and mattresses, and a new retail branch - its 23rd - will be opening in Cheltenham in December.
