Tragedy has struck at a Dorcan medical supplies factory after a man in his 30s died after unexpectedly collapsing. 

Emergency crews and Wiltshire Police rushed to the BD pharmaceutical factory on Faraday Road on Thursday evening in an attempt to save the man's life.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance also responded, with one of its emergency helicopters landing in the nearby playing field at Dorcan Academy, with its team of critical care paramedics also helping

But despite the efforts of all of the emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Wiltshire Police confirmed that the man had suffered from a cardiac arrest.

"The man died at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this time," a spokesperson for the force added.
