A woman in her 80s has suffered what has been described as life-threatening injuries after a horror crash.
The crash victim was driving her Suzuki Swift on the A436 at Cadley on Saturday when her car left the northbound carriageway and smashed into a tree, no other vehicles are said to have been involved.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.15pm sparking the first-aid response to help the woman and road closure.

Because of the severity of her injuries, which police have not specified, only stating that they are 'life-threatening', she was swiftly airlifted to Southmead Hospital by Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Commenting after the initial incident response earlier in the day both the Marlborough Police Facebook account and the Wilts Spec Ops Twitter account warned motorists to avoid the area as the closure of the A436 - from the Salisbury Hill (BP roundabout) Marlborough side and Wootton Rivers south side - would likely last for some time.
An update provided by the Wilts Spec Ops Roads Policing Team later in the evening at 8pm added that the closure was still in place and likely to be in place for 'several more hours' while forensic work was ongoing.
It said: "The A346 through Savernake forest is closed, while the Collision Investigation Unit examines the scene of a serious single-vehicle collision."
"The road is likely to be closed for several more hours. Please find an alternate route."
The tweet was accompanied by a picture of a Roads Policing Unit squad car with its blue lights on near what appears to be a lit-up and coned-off area further down the road.
This means the busy route between Marlborough and Burbage is likely to stay closed overnight.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen what happened to come forward
A spokesperson for the force said: "Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage should call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 and quote log number 158 of November 12.
"Alternatively, email SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk."
