One of Regent Circus' newest additions has been forced to close its doors to the public, albeit temporarily.
Korean BBQ restaurant Funky Grilla only moved into the retail area at the top of Swindon's town centre in July last year, but it has now closed to allow for necessary repairs.
A notice has been placed on the door of the restaurant, accompanied by cardboard and dust-sheets, announcing the closure, which is believed to have started a week or so ago.
It says: "Funky Grilla Restaurant will be temporarily closed for internal repairs to our lighting system. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause."
It is not known how long the popular venue will remain closed for while these repairs take place.
But the notice on the door does add: "Please look out for further information on reopening times."
The addition of the Korean BBQ restaurant was brought about by Sat Nijjar alongside his two business partners – Kenzo72’s David Lai and Siam Thai’s Marc Stow, although all three are no longer involved in the business.
It has been received positively in the town since its opening last year.
Regent Circus was briefly almost back to full capacity with the arrival of Funky Grilla, the adjacent Boom Battle Bar, and the Dough and Co pizza restaurant, but Lebanese eatery Lamaya unexpectedly shut in July this year.
