A man has died after he was hit by a van in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident took place at around 12.20am on the A345 near Woodhenge, Amesbury and police are appealing for witnesses.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.
The van driver, a man in his 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving while disqualified.
He was taken to custody in Melksham and has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 and quote log number 14 of November 13.
