A free recruitment event will be held in Swindon this weekend for job openings in the criminal justice sector.
‘Making Justice Work’ will feature organisations Wiltshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Wiltshire Police, the Crown Prosecution Service, Horizon Victims Service and more.
Each group will be explaining their roles in the justice system and will also discuss job opportunities within the sector.
The event has been organised by the OPCC in conjunction with the Wiltshire Criminal Justice Board and is mainly aimed at school and college leavers.
Wiltshire and Swindon’s PCC Phillip Wilkinson said: “A career in the criminal justice sector is hugely rewarding and the work being done to fight crime, support victims and rehabilitate perpetrators is crucial.
“I want to encourage as many young people as possible to explore job opportunities within the sector, as well as improve the public’s understanding of how the justice system works.
“Free events like this enable us to be more present within our local communities and ensure those services which are there to help them are representative of the communities they serve.”
The event will be held at STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway on Fly Avenue on Saturday, November 19, from 10:30 to 15:00.
