There are delays in West Swindon and on the M4 this evening after a 'multiple vehicle' crash on the M4.
It happened on the westbound carriageway between Junctions 15 (Swindon East/A419) and 16 (Swindon West/A3102) at around 6.20pm.
Traffic service Inrix said that "multiple vehicles" were involved in the crash, which closed lane one.
All lanes have since been reopened and traffic is easing.
Meanwhile, traffic backed up in West Swindon.
Traffic maps show heavy traffic on the A3102 at Lydiard Fields, with the 1.6-mile journey between Junction 16 and Mannington roundabout taking roughly 17 minutes.
There was also severe delays in both directions heading in and out of Royal Wootton Bassett.
It comes after a day of severe traffic across Swindon after a fatal crash on the A419 in the early hours.
A pedestrian was killed in a collision with a vehicle near the Merlin Way bridge at around 2.30am.
The dual carriageway has been closed between the White Hart roundabout and Commonhead roundabout all day, with traffic diverting through the eastern parts of town.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman added: "We are asking that anyone who may have driven along the A419 in the early hours to check their vehicle and contact us if you see any damage or have any other concerns."
Wiltshire Police has been contacted for comment on the M4 crash.
