ONE of Swindon's busiest roads is now fully open again following weeks of road works.
A temporary speed limit and closed lanes on the A3102 Wootton Bassett Road approaching Mannington Roundabout have caused long queues over the last month or so.
The work began on October 10 and involved two different projects - refurbishing the traffic lights and waterproofing the section of the road bridge that goes over the River Ray.
Lane closures alternated on each carriageway while the schemes were simultaneously completed.
After the work finished on Wednesday night, the cones have been cleared away and the temporary reduced speed limit has been removed.
Elsewhere on the road, near the Dick Lovett junction, two-way traffic control is in place while Openreach carries out utility repair and maintenance which will be finished by midnight tonight (Thursday) as well as other maintenance which requires a lane to be closed until 2.30pm on December 2.
