The person who brings you your next takeaway meal could be responsible for a recent hit-and-run that damaged a car that a Swindon mother had spent ages saving up for.

On Friday, November 11, Kamila Ka, a mother who was driving her five-year-old around on Ocotal Way, near the Transfer Bridges B&M store at roughly 7pm, was allegedly rear-ended by someone she believes was a food delivery driver on a motorbike.

The driver, who she says had fallen off his vehicle, then fled the scene instead of stopping to exchange details.

Shocked by the incident, Kamila Ka posted on Facebook for help identifying the delivery driver, after being able to obtain a partial number plate from the escaping bike.

Kamila also reported the incident to the police, but the force has already closed the case after failing to identify the suspect vehicle through ANPR.

"I’d like to find this man or at least let him know that he’s being searched for," said Kamila, who has offered a cash reward for any information that might lead to his identification.

She added: "I was with my five-year-old at the time too, so it was quite stressful. It's also made me really sad because I had worked months to get this car and I have been trying to look after it as much as I can."

She has provided a description of the person in question saying they were around 5’8, caucasian, with either light brown or dark blonde hair. She says they were wearing prescription glasses and an orange Just Eat coat.

The bike was black in colour and the start of the number plate is believed to be 'VU72'

Kamila added: "In the aftermath of hitting my car, his bike collapsed and he fell off of it. But unfortunately by the time I managed to get out of the car he picked himself up and was on his way.

"To anyone that can help me identify this person, there will be a cash prize of £50 waiting."

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We’re aware of an incident on November 11 at around 7.10pm in which a car was hit by a motorbike which then left the scene.

“We have conducted enquiries and undertaken ANPR work to locate the suspect vehicle, but have been unable to.

“The case has, therefore, been closed.”
