A Swindon building site has been burgled with thieves escaping with over £20,000 worth of items.
Police are now investigating the incident, which happened at the Barratt Homes Wichelstowe development off of Mill Lane, Swindon, overnight on November 4-5.
Damage was caused to the site and tools, copper and approximately 2,000 litres of fuel were stolen during the burglary.
Although no vehicles are reported to have been seen, it is believed a large vehicle would have been used to commit the burglary due to the large number of items taken.
Officers have been conducting enquiries in relation to the incident and regular patrols of the site are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police is looking to speak to anyone who may have seen anything at the time, or who may have seen the large vehicle believed to have been needed.
They said: "We’d like to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious behaviour at the site overnight on November 4-5.
"If you can help, please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220116848.
"Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
