Keen photographer Mark Fullick spotted this amazing piece of vintage machinery in the car park at the Range in Swindon.
He was so impressed he nipped in to Halfords to ask the driver if he could take a picture.
He said: “This is an Edsel, the story goes this car was a huge flop, the designers wanted a car to reflect the look of a jet engine but a popular comedian at the time said the bonnet grill far from looking like a jet engine looked more like a horse bridal, that killed the car dead so these running are rare to see.”
The Edsel, named after Ford founder Henry's son, was launched in 1957 and marketed as the car of the future, but was a huge commercial failure. Production ended within a couple of years.
