A renowned clairvoyant set to perform live in Swindon has revealed how he tells the difference between the living and dead.

Phil Phillips, 62, has been a clairvoyant for 43 years after discovering his talent for communicating with the dead in his early twenties.

“When I was 20, I went to see a fortune teller and was told to get out and see a medium,” he explained.

“She told me that I see dead people.”

Phil says he can communicate with anyone and can tell the difference easily between those that have passed away and those that are alive.

“Everyone I encounter are different, but the dead have not got the energy field of aura around them like the living,” he explained.

“I will be picking out different people in the Swindon audience to see who is beside them.”

The job is far from a regular one but that is what keeps the position interesting according to Phil.

“No two days are the same and you never know where you’re going but that’s the absolute fun of it,” he said.

“I do it because I love helping people and travelling the world to do so.”

Alongside visiting Spain and Germany to do shows, Phil also lived in Norway from 2007 to 2017 and performed his seances there too.

“I moved to Norway for 10 years following the flooding where I was living in Tewkesbury,” he said.

Phil has of course had his fair share of naysayers over the years but that has not stopped him from carrying on his trade and crossing over the spiritual lines.

“I would say to any non-believers, come along for yourselves and hopefully you’ll be left with a thinking tank on your head,” he said defiantly.

Interestingly, Phil is officially a reverend, being an ordained Corinthians Minister for many years.

“It is very good to have sceptics. My father was a staunch Christian and my adopted mother was the president of the spiritualist church in Cheltenham,” he explained.

Phil is no stranger to Swindon either, having done five shows already in the town this year as well as appearing on local radio.

“Swindon always brings a brilliant crowd, so I am looking forward to Thursday,” he revealed.

If you want to witness an otherworldly experience this week, you can go to see Phil at the Coleview Community Centre on Thursday, November 24, with tickets priced at £12.50.
