A competition for Chippenham business of the year has been launched by the town’s MP.
Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and MP for Chippenham Michelle Donelan arranged the competition, and the result will be announced December 3 to celebrate Small Business Saturday.
Nominations have closed but the constituency will be able to vote for a winner from the shortlist.
The winning business will be visited by Ms Donelan and invited to afternoon tea in Parliament with her.
Ms Donelan said: “We are lucky to have such a range of local small businesses, so this is all about celebrating them and their work, and I'm always keen to help however I can.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our communities, our high street and our economy, and Small Business Saturday is a great way of celebrating this.
“I can’t wait to see all of the nominations from across our community!”
The winner could be any business in the community, from a shop to a service, to a pub or restaurant.
Whether they provide your favourite products or services, or just go that extra mile for their customers, this is an opportunity to recognise their hard work.
