A brand new charity shop has opened its doors in Swindon's town centre.
The RSPCA North Wilts and Newbury District branch, which looks after the Oak and Furrows wildlife rescue centre in Cricklade, has opened the Thrift Store in The Parade.
The store, which opened on November 23, stocks both preloved goods and high-quality gifts, clothing, toys, bric a brac, and household items.
Marketing and fundraising manager for Oak and Furrows Lizzie Scott said “we are delighted to be opening our new town centre store at Parade in Swindon.
"Our charity shops are key to helping us to raise money for our charity, supporting both domestic animals and our wildlife rescue centre near Cricklade for those animals in need in our area.
"As an independent local branch of the RSPCA, we rely heavily on income from our shops along with fundraising and donations to help us continue with our work. All profits from the sales in store will go towards the work which we carry out.”
The store is happy to take good quality donations, with staff and volunteers inside ready to help.
Lizzie added: "We can also arrange for free furniture collections if you have any large household items which you would like to donate."
The store will be open on Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.45pm.
