The following public notices were filed in the Swindon Advertiser this week.
HIGHWAYS
Under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Swindon Borough Council has given notice of the following traffic orders.
- OLD TOWN: This Order is being introduced for the Old Christmas Light Switch On Event and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Victoria Road and Bath Road including between Union Row and Joiner Lane. Traffic to be diverted via Groundwell Road, Drove Road, Cricklade Street and Newport Street. The Order comes into force on November 27 2022 for one day only but the road closure will only be in place between 6pm and 9pm.
- HAYDON WICK: This Order is being introduced for Thames Water to carry out main replacement works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Severn Avenue between Ray Close and Orwell Close, Severn Avenue between Orwell Close and Coln Crescent, Severn Avenue between Coln Crescent and Calder Close and Severn Avenue between Calder Close and Thames Avenue. Access to Severn Avenue to be maintained. The Order comes into the force November 21, 2022 for six months but it is expected that works will take place between November 21, 2022, to December 23, 2022.
LICENSING
- CENTRAL SWINDON: An application has been made to the Licensing Authority for Swindon for the grant of a Premises Licence by Havelock Centre Stores LTD in respect of 49 Havelock Centre, Swindon, SN1 1SD. The application seeks the following licensable activities and times. Retail of sale of alcohol- Monday – Sunday between 07.30 am and 10 pm for both on and off sales. The full application may be inspected at the Offices of the Licensing Authority, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West Floor 5, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH between the hours of 9 am hours and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.
- SOUTH MARSTON: The South African Spaza Shop Ltd hereby give notice that an application was made to Swindon Borough Council on November 3, 2022 for the Grant of a new Premises Licence to operate at. The South African Spaza Shop, Unit 10 Woodside, South Marston Park, Swindon SN3 4WA from which the following licensable activities are proposed. Retail of Alcohol for consumption off the premises from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Sunday. The full application may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the council at The Licensing Office Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon SN1 2JG or at www.swindon.gov.uk
