Purton Village Hall will host its first pantomime in two years this week after Covid delayed recent previous attempts.
The group, Purton Amateur Dramatic Society, present ‘Merlin’ as this year’s offering with Barbara Page directing the family show.
Lindsey Hall, 61, has been involved in pantos for over the last 43 years, making her one of the longest serving members.
“Pantomime is such fun to do. We all enjoy our roles, find it a real team effort and enjoy bringing the fun to the audience,” she said.
“It is great to see people coming back every year and laughing along with us.”
There are 17 cast members in total with 13 further crew members and another 11 helpers over the four nights.
Purton Amateur Dramatic Society have been going for 48 years, and look forward to celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2024.
The panto is taking place between Thursday, November 24 and Saturday, November 26 at Purton Village Hall, with curtains up at 7.30pm.
There is a licensed bar in the evening too as well as teas and coffees available at the Saturday Matinee.
The Saturday Matinee commences at 2.30pm and tickets for any of the shows are priced at £8 for adults and £6 concessions.
