The emergency services have launched a campaign warning that bad parking could mean vital time - and lives - lost when they try to get through on blue lights.
Police, fire and ambulance services are calling on the public to be road safety heroes by using their common sense when they park to avoid making narrow streets impassable.
We asked readers where the worst areas were in Swindon for bad parking and inconsiderate parking. Here's what they said...
Dee Blockley: "Commercial road one big car park."
Paul English: "Basically any new housing estate in any area.
"Redhouse is a classic 10-15ft pavements either side...
"Cars parked one side of a two way road...which is also a bus route."
Alan Wilson: "If you're disabled, blind, partially sighted etc you're being forced into the road. A compromise of public safety on pavements.
"We need pavement parking to STOP. I'm aways writing to my council and MP about this problem. They have the powers to ban pavement parking."
Michelle Regan: "Ashford Road. If an ambulance or fire engine needs to get through the cars will be damaged due to the parking on both sides."
Charlotte Reed: "Anywhere City Fibre are working. They don't seem to care where they park their vehicles or leave any room for emergency access."
Gillian Ingram: "Streets in Gorsehill, there's no way a fire engine would fit between the cars parked on the side of the roads."
Antonio Carmine: "Stanley Street, I'd love to see how a fire engine or ambulance could get through there."
Garry Mathis: "Manchester road....and traffic wardens walk on by."
Nigel Chalk: "Watched a taxi the other day stop on pedestrian crossing to let someone out, couldn't go 15 yards either way?"
Jennie Edwards Thompson: "Fire engine or ambulance couldn’t get down my street yesterday or today due to bad parking by neighbours."
Chris Matthews: "Think a few people of Tadpole Garden Village need to take note of this with some of the shocking parking that goes on."
