A SWINDON charity which helps people with mental health issues and learning disabilities turns 20 this year - but needs urgent help to keep going.
Phoenix Enterprises Swindon is marking two decades of providing social and work opportunities for vulnerable clients.
A special auction - 20 prizes for 20 years - closes at 5pm on Friday.
The lots on offer include a shirt signed by England footballer Sir Geoff Hurst, bottles of House of Commons claret signed by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, holidays and exciting experiences.
CEO Clare McDougall said: “Whether you’re a thrill-seeker looking for your next challenge (a bungee jump), are after a relaxing break (a weekend break in a beautiful Cotswold Lakes House) or are ready to start your Christmas shopping, you’re bound to find something that appeals.
"I urge you to make a bid – we need all the help we can get in these tough economic times.”
Each year, Phoenix Enterprises helps around 100 local people with real challenges – building self-esteem and self-confidence, with many moving on to paid work.
But the charity is having to be increasingly inventive in its fundraising in order to combat decreases in government and corporate grants.
