A man in his seventies was assaulted when his legs were forcibly trapped in a car door in Purton earlier this week.
Swindon Police are appealing for more information relating to the incident which took place on Tuesday, November 22.
“At around 4.25pm, the victim - a man in his 70s - was travelling as a passenger in a car down the high street in Purton when a man running on the road has become verbally aggressive towards him,” read an official statement from Swindon Police on Facebook.
“A few minutes later, the same man has assaulted the victim by pushing the car door shut on his legs and then pushing him away.”
“We are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly a man who stopped to help,” added the Swindon Police official account on Facebook.
