A number of people are believed to have witnessed the assault of a woman in Swindon, and police are now looking to speak to those people.
Between 3.25pm and 4.45pm on Friday, November 25, a man and a woman in their 30s were involved in a domestic incident that spread throughout a vast 2.9-mile-long area, starting at The Bakers Arm, down Beechcroft Road and Whitworth Road and then onto Cheney Manor Road.
Following this, Wiltshire Police arrested a local man on suspicion of common assault, who has since been released on bail while enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We believe there would have been a number of witnesses to the incident due to it taking place across various locations – the incident may also have been caught on dash cams fitted to any passing vehicles.
"If you can help, call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220124606.
"Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
This comes as Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council jointly launched a campaign as part of the #16DaysOfAction which looks to share messages about domestic abuse and promote the support services available.
