Here are some of the public notices that have been posted in Wiltshire this week: 

Road closures:

Wiltshire Council intends to close temporarily to all traffic:

Gunsite Lane (Part), Avebury; from its junction with A4 for a distance of approximately 55m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to provide a safe working area for engineers to access existing telegraph pole to provide customer service and associated works. No alternative route is available.

This Order will come into operation on December 21 and the closure will be required 09:30 and 15:30 for one day.

A4 Bath Road (Part), Chippenham; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out a detailed underbridge examination and associated works.

Alternative route via A4 (unaffected length) - A420 - A350 - A4 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on November 30 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night.

 B4643 (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with B4528 for a distance of approximately 575m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out underground cable repairs via existing access points and associated works.

Alternative route via B4528 - A4 - B4643 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on November 28 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:30 and 05:30 for 1 night.

C202 (Part), West Overton; from its junction with Bell Lane to outside property known as Cairncot to enable Thames Water to carry out sewer cleaning and associated works.

Alternative route 1 via C202 (unaffected length) - C73 - A4 - Bell Lane and vice versa. Alternative route 2 via Wymans Hil - C73 - C202 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on November 28 and the closure will be required for three days. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

C8 (Part), Wilcot; from its property known as Bridge Cottage to outside property known as No.53 Wilcot Green to enable JJF LTD on behalf of The Canal and River Trust to carry out the rebuilding of Parapet Walls on the canal bride following a vehicle strike and associated works.

Alternative route via C8 (unaffected length) - C52 - C268 -China Lane - C264 - C8 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on November 28 and the closure will be required until December 11.

One-Way Traffic Restrictions:

Wiltshire Council has introduced a temporary one-way traffic restriction permitting travel in a north westerly direction on the following length of road:

C129 Clack Hill (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from a point 290m northwest of its junction with C129 Hollow Way to its junction with B4069.

20mph Speed Limit

A 20mph speed limit will be introduced on Rockley Road (also known as Eagle Road), Ogbourne Maizey, Ogbourne St Andrew - from its junction with A346 to a point 26 metres west of western boundary of property known as Bonita Racing Stables. 

Premises License:

The company Givino Ltd which owns a building at R18 MarshallWay, Frome Commerce Park has applied for a premise licence to sell alcohol between 0830 – 1700hrs Monday to Sunday.
