A recent food hygiene report on a Swindon piri piri restaurant has concluded with a three out of five rating.

PiriCo, located on 103 Cricklade Road, is one of Swindon’s only piri piri eateries and was recently inspected by the Food Standards Agency.

The report based on food hygiene saw the Portuguese-themed restaurant score three out of a possible five.

This was an improvement on the eatery’s previous report which the Adver covered back in July.

A one star rating was all the business could muster during their summer inspection but evidently conditions are improving at the Cricklade Road takeaway.

Hygienic food handling and cleanliness of the facilities and building were both found to be generally satisfactory in July.

Yet it was the management of food safety that let the restaurant down as major improvement was deemed to be necessary.

The Gorse Hill restaurant offers a wide range of food from burgers to baguettes to wraps, ensuring every base is covered.

The most recent investigation was carried out on Wednesday, November 2, at the eatery.

The Adver has contacted the Food Standards Agency for the full report and further comment.
