Supporters of Swindon Town will gather on Saturday as they look to pay tribute to two people who have lost their lives over the past month.

Former town goalkeeper, Carla Heaton died at the age of 22 in November with many people describing her as “a beautiful person inside and out.”

After enjoying several seasons with Swindon, Miss Heaton moved on to play for Cirencester.

Posting in a statement on Twitter, her former club said: "It is with great sadness to say our goalkeeper Carla Heaton has suddenly passed away.

“We are all lost for words but what we can say is how much of a beautiful person you was inside and out.

“We all miss you and thank you for all the memories. RIP our number 1."

The club will also pay its respects to 14-year-old Harry Parker who was killed in an alleged hit-and-run incident in Akers Way on November 25.

A woman in her 50s from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, she has since been released on bail.

Harry’s father Adam wrote on Facebook describing his son as ‘beautiful and  golden.’

He continued: “Unfortunately, he lost his life far too soon. Harry will be missed by lots but no more than us, his family.”

Now Town fans will be able to pay their respects when they take on AFC Wimbledon at the County Ground.

The club is calling fans to join a minute’s applause during the first 60 seconds of the game in memory of Carla Heaton.

Additionally, a minute’s applause will also be held 14 minutes into the game to honour Harry’s memory and will allow fans to reflect.

Writing on social media, Swindon Town said: “Please join us tomorrow as we remember our talented young goalkeeper, Carla Heaton, who sadly passed away last month, aged just 22.

“We'll be holding a minute’s applause on the first minute of our game in her memory.
