England fans who packed Swindon's pubs for the World Cup quarter-final with France were left fustrated and heartbroken.
At The Steam Railway Co pub in Old Town hundreds of people turned out to watch their country bow out of the competition.
Real Madrid midfield Aurélien Tchouaméni put the world champions in front on 17 minutes with a shot from outside the box.
The venue erupted when Harry Kane levelled it up from the penalty spot 10 minutes into the second half, but delight turned to despair when Olivier Giroud headed what proved to be the winner for France.
England were given a golden chance to make it 2-2 after a VAR check saw a second penalty awarded - but Kane skied his effort - much to the astonishment of the supporters watching.
France will head into the last four to face Morocco, while Argentina meet Croatia in the first of the semi-finals on Tuesday night (7pm).
