HIGHWAYS
Under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Act, Swindon Borough Council has given notice of the following temporary orders.
SOUTH MARSTON: Highworth Road: This order is being introduced for SSE, Thames Water and Openreach works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Highworth Road between Greenfields and Supermarine Road. Alternative route - via Highworth Road (Sevenhampton), B4000 Highworth Road, B4508, A420, Old Vicarage Lane and vice versa. The order comes into force on February 13 2023 for six months but it is anticipated that the road closure for the various works will only be in place between February 13 and March 3.
CHISELDON: May's Lane: This order is being introduced for Openreach works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on May's Lane between the junctions with New Road and Turnball. Alternative Route - via High Street, Station Road, B4005 New Road and vice versa. The Order comes into force on February 2 for six months, but it is anticipated work will take place on February 2 between the times of 9.30am to 3.30pm.
CHISELDON: New Road: This Order is being introduced for highway works on behalf of the Council and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on New Road between the roundabout junction with Draycott Road and the junction with Baldwin Close. Alternative Route - via A346 Marlborough Road, A419 Marlborough Road, A4259 Marlborough Road, B4006 Marlborough Road, Pipers Way, Croft Road, Swindon Road, B4005 Marlborough Road, Brimble Hill, Hodson Road, New Road and vice versa. The Order comes into force on the 31 January 31, 2023 for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will take place between January 31 and 3 February 3 2023.
CRICKLADE ROAD: This order is being introduced for Openreach works and will temporarily close the southbound bus lane on the A4311 Cricklade Road between Wheeler Avenue and Cirencester Way. The order comes into force on February 15 2023 for six months, but it is anticipated that the works will take on February 15, 2023 between the times of 9.30am to 3.30pm.
WILLIAM STREET &STANMORE STREET: This order is being introduced for sewer cleaning works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on William Street between numbers 93 and 99 William Street and Stanmore Street between William Street to number 10. Alternative route - via Radnor Street, Cambria Bridge Road, Curtis Street, Farnsby Street, Faringdon Road, Westcott Place, A4289 Kingshill Road. The order comes into the force on January 20, 2023 for six months but it is anticipated that the works will be carried out on January 20, 2023 between the times of 9.30am to 3.30pm.
MILTON ROAD: This order is being introduced to allow for Thames Water works and will prohibit vehicles from parking on the parking bays outside numbers 25-32 Milton Road as indicated by signs. The order will come into force on January 31, 2023 for six months, but works are scheduled to take place between January 31 and February 2, 2023.
LIDDINGTON: The Street: This order is being introduced for Openreach works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on The Street between the junctions with Spinney Close and B4192. Alternative Route - via B4192, access to be maintained for residents.
The order comes into force on February 1 2023 for six months but it is anticipated the works will be carried out from February 1 to 3,2023.

GIPSY LANE: Full planning application for the erection of seven industrial units (flexible mixed-use classes B2/B8/E(g)) and associated infrastructure works including site access, parking provision, landscaping and drainage works. Planning reference: S/22/1714RACH
BRISTOL STREET: Installation of replacement windows. Planning reference: S/LBC/22/1664AMMY.
HIGHWORTH: Redlands Court: Land adjacent 17 The Lodge Erection of one dwelling. Planning reference: S/RES/22/1752TB
OLD TOWN: Goddard Road: Demolition of existing garage and erection of garage/store. Planning reference: S/HOU722/1676JAAB
LYDIARD COUNTRY PARK: Construction of a themed adventure golf course and associated works. Planning reference: S/22/1658AMMY
LICENSING
RODBOURNE ROAD: An application has been made to the Licensing Authority for Swindon for the grant of a Premises Licence by Asmin Food Ltd in respect of 15-15A Rodbourne Road SN2 2AG. The application seeks the following licensable activities and times: Sale of alcohol off the premises and late night refreshment between 12 and 1am Monday to Sunday. The full application may be inspected at the Offices of the Licensing Authority, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West Floor 5, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
