The following notices were placed in the Swindon Advertiser this week.
HIGHWAYS
Under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Act, Swindon Borough Council has given notice of the following temporary orders.
- MARLBOROUGH ROAD AND QUEENS DRIVE: This Order is being introduced for highway improvement works and will impose restrictions on traffic, pedestrians and cyclist with overnight road closures, speed restrictions, weight restriction, footway and cycle lane closures on A4259 Marlborough Road between Coate and Commonhead Roundabouts, and Queens Drive adjacent and including Coate Roundabout. Traffic to be diverted as follows: Queens Drive closure - Queens Drive, Marlborough Road, A419, Oxford Road, Drakes Way, Queens Drive and vice versa Marlborough Road closure - Marlborough Road, A419, Oxford Road, Drakes Way, Queens Drive and vice versa. The Order will come into force on February 20, 2023 for 18 months but it is anticipated the restrictions will only be required for up to eight months and the overnight road closures will only be in place as/when required.
- WARNBOROUGH: This Order is being introduced for resurfacing works on behalf of the Council and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Pack Hill between Commonhead Roundabout to 300 metres east of The Marsh. Alternative Route - via Church Road to Wanborough Road, Foxhill Crossroads, un-named road to B4192 Purley Road and vice versa. The Order comes into force on February 6, 2023 for six months but it is anticipated that the works will take place between February 6 and 17, 2023.
- BLUNSDON: his Order is being introduced for Thames Water works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on High Street, Blunsdon, between Fortuna Road and The Ridge. Alternative Route - via Ermin Street, B4019, Sam's Lane and vice versa. The Order comes into force on February 27, 2023, for six months but it is anticipated that the works will take place between February 27 and March 3, 2023.

- GIPSY LANE: Full planning application for the erection of 7no. industrial units (flexible mixed-use classes B2/B8/E(g)) and associated infrastructure works including site access, parking provision, landscaping and drainage works. Planning reference: S/22/1714RACH
- BRISTOL STREET: Installation of replacement windows. Planning reference: S/LBC/22/1664AMMY.
- HIGHWORTH: REDLANDS COURT: Land Adjacent 17 The Lodge Erection of 1 No. dwelling. Planning reference: S/RES/22/1752TB
- OLD TOWN: GODDARD ROAD: Demolition of existing garage and erection of garage/store. Planning reference: S/HOU722/1676JAAB
- LYDIARD COUNTRY PARK: Construction of a themed adventure golf course and associated works. Planning reference: S/22/1658AMMY
LICENSING
- RODBOURNE ROAD: An application has been made to the Licensing Authority for Swindon for the grant of a Premises Licence by Asmin Food Ltd in respect of 15-15A Rodbourne Road, SWINDON SN2 2AG. The application seeks the following licensable activities and times: Sale of Alcohol OFF the premises and Late Night Refreshment between 12.00 and 1 am Monday to Sunday. The full application may be inspected at the Offices of the Licensing Authority, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West Floor 5, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH between the hours of 9 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.
