Representatives of Swindon’s Great Western Hospital have spoken out about a fire in the building that occurred earlier this week.
In the afternoon of Wednesday, January 25, firefighters were called to attend a blaze at the hospital.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an issue relating to an Apple iPhone.

No one was injured in the fire and the emergency services arrived after the flames had already been extinguished.
A spokesperson for Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “There was a small fire on the second floor of the hospital, in a corporate service area.
"The fire was quickly put out, whilst areas nearby were evacuated as a precaution. No staff or patients were harmed.”

“Crews from Swindon and Stratton attended the incident which involved a small fire and an Apple iPhone.
“The fire was out on arrival so no firefighting action was carried out. Our stop came at 3.48pm.”
