One of Swindon’s roads will be closed for several days due to new cables being installed this week.
Spinney Close, located in Liddington, will be closed from Wednesday, February 1, to Friday, February 3.
This has come as a result of works by BT Openreach to implement new cables in the area.
Each day during the closure period will see long hours of cable works with the road being unusable from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Spinney Close is a residential road that is in the south east of Swindon that is the home to several houses in the Liddington area.
The closure has led to bus cancellations as several routes incorporate Spinney Close, so changes to the usual journeys have been made.
A statement from Stagecoach said: “We've been told that Spinney Close in Liddington will be closed from 1st until 3rd February 2023 and between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm for BT Openreach to install new cables.
“For the 46 and 48 Services that operate through Liddington, the bus will wait its time at Liddington Turn on the main road instead of turning into Spinney Close.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
