It has become very hard to get a good deal on a property thanks to house prices rising again in the past year.
Swindon is no exception to these new high home prices with the average house price in the town now being calculated to be approximately £314,018.
This has risen within the last year as it was reported in January of last year that the average price of a semi-detached house in the Wiltshire town would cost you £270,000.

Of course this is just an average and some areas have cheaper housing than others throughout the town.
With this in mind, the Adver has compiled a list of the cheapest streets in Swindon and included an average price of property for each street with data courtesy of PropertySolvers.
The street that lays claim to having the cheapest average property price is Erin Court, where the average cost of a house is priced at £76,250.
Although Erin Court is ranked as being the cheapest overall, second placed Stonefield Close is not far behind with the almost equally cheap price of £76,357 per home on average.
The next three entries on the list all stay under the £85,000 threshold for their respective property prices, marking other areas of the Wiltshire town that are more affordable.
Swindon’s Speedwell Close and The Heights come in at the average house cost of £79,060 and £81,500 respectively, whereas Willowherb Close is priced at £84,833.
Interestingly the £85,000 threshold is broken by a street in Westlea, with Applewood Court’s properties costing £85,333 approximately on average.
Copse Avenue saw the most sales out of the ten entries on the cheapest streets list, having 12 of its homes sell in the year of 2022.
The properties in question have the average price of £91,332 approximately, evidently making it a popular location for moving to last year.
Swindon’s final three entries all come in with a similar price to this with both Azelin Court and Charminster Close costing £91,600 and £93,500 respectively on average.
Milton Road comes in at the most expensive on the list of ten, being priced at £94,166 per property on average.
Even though there are significant price rises as the list goes on, it is worth noting that the £100,000 threshold was not reached, showing Swindon to have several somewhat affordable areas to live in.
