Wild deer have been spotted in Swindon as the seasonal change fast approaches with Spring evidently on the horizon.
Former Adver reporter Fiona Scott was walking her rescue dog Jess on Tuesday morning when she noticed the deer in a nearby garden.
“I live on the Rushey Platt estate and I see them often, sometimes they are muntjac deer which are quite distinctive and I love seeing them,” she said.
“Today they were in the garden of one of those homes with gardens down the canal. However I sometimes see them in the fields a little further along and closer to the new homes at Wichelstowe.”
This is not the first time that Fiona, who has lived in Swindon since 1996, has spotted the majestic animals in the Wiltshire town though.
“I've been sharing these pictures on an almost daily basis since lockdown in March 2020 on my daily walks and now people mention them all of the time,” she revealed.
“I never dreamt that just showing a picture from my daily walk would have such an impact on people, and for me it also highlights how lovely Swindon is when it's often seen as a 'beige' town.”
