A TEAM of specialists providing eye and hearing care services to people at home will be moving its headquarters to South Marston.
Outside Clinic will be relocating from Old Town to a 22,000 sq ft industrial estate space to make room for its growing workforce of more than 200 staff.
This follows the acquisition of leading companies in eye and hearing care including Visioncall, Bloom hearing specialists, and Care Opticians.
These new additions to the company will boost OutsideClinic’s capacity and ability to deliver high-quality eye and hearing care in patient’s homes, care homes and sheltered accommodation.
Joint venture partnerships director, Michelle Peel, said: "The new head office is a major milestone for OutsideClinic and represents the company's continued growth and success.
“It is the start of something new and brings with it the opportunity to introduce new technologies and working practices, which will, in turn, bring about a better working environment for everyone.
“We are committed to providing colleagues with the best possible working conditions, and we are confident that the new head office will play a key role in creating a healthy workplace that supports every employee's physical, mental and social well-being."
With an investment the company describes as “generous”, plans for the new building include a modern workspace that aims to offer colleagues an inspiring and collaborative environment while providing the latest technology and comfort to support employee productivity and wellbeing.
The two-floor property will house all head office departments and will be the prime location for the training and development of new optometrists and audiologists who join the business.
There will be space for departments to grow alongside the company and room for well-equipped kitchens, break-out areas for refuelling, training facilities for development and other flexible spaces allocated for wellbeing.
OutsideClinic recently rebranded and set up a new website to better represent the company and its ambition to help more customers than ever in 2023.
This builds on a successful 2022 that saw its growing team of optometrists and audiologists deliver more than 200,000 clinics in various domiciliary environments.
While 460,000 eye tests were conducted in a home environment in 2020 - making it the fastest-growing area of optometry - research indicates that 2.7 million people in the UK would actually benefit from such care.
OutsideClinic’s goal is to address this gap. Its new joint venture partnership model provides optometrists with an opportunity to build and run a fully supported domiciliary practice.
