Swindon's Hindu Temple held a morning full of celebrations to mark the official opening of its new home in the town centre.
The site has been moved from Cheney Manor Industrial Estate to above the Chaat Cafe in Regent House.
Overall, 479 days passed between the closure of the old temple and the new one welcoming its first guests.
Pradeep Bhardwaj said: "Our countless volunteers have worked relentlessly and put their heart and soul into creating the magical experience at the new premises for Swindon Hindu Temple, a place transformed into a colourful, vibrant and welcoming hub for everyone.
"We are very excited to be able to start serving the religious, cultural, social and charitable needs of the community again and we look ahead with great vigour, excitement, renewed hope and determination.
"As we embark on this new journey and new beginnings, please join us with your full support and participation to help us make the most of the opportunities, overcome the challenges and rebuild a glorious future for the community."
Burglars repeatedly targeted the old temple, so the committee in charge of it spent months working with Hindu Samaj Swindon and Swindon Borough Council to find a suitable and more secure building for their worshipping and community events.
