It has been confirmed that a woman was killed by a train in Corsham last night.
Website Wiltshire 999s reported a body on the line was spotted by one of the train drivers at around 10pm on Wednesday, February 15.
Both police and an air ambulance were in attendance following the call but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene as there were no signs of life.
The British Transport Police said: “Sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.”
They have also confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
