A VAN driver on the Magic Roundabout has been arrested for being on drugs while behind the wheel.

Officers noticed a van being driven in what they described as "a suspicious manner" near the Magic Roundabout on Tuesday morning.

Wiltshire Specialist Operations suggested that roads policing unit officers stopped the van after "witnessing it cut across the path of a cyclist on the Magic Roundabout".

They stopped the vehicle on Groundwell Road and carried out a roadside drugs wipe test on the driver, who tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.

Police arrested a man in his 30s and took him into custody.

He has since been released under investigation while the force's enquiries continue.
