ITV's Endeavour is set to air its ninth and final series today, February 26 after the show's 10-year run.
The Inspector Morse prequel has been very popular with fans since its start back in 2012, but now the show confirmed that its latest series, would be its last.
Ahead of the final series, DS Endeavour Morse actor Shaun Evans has hinted to fans that the show will leave fans feeling "emotionally satisfied".
It comes after Evans spoke to the Radio Times, sharing that he knows it won't be an easy task to wrap the popular show whilst pleasing all the fans, saying: "Final episodes are always very difficult. You can’t please all of the people all of the time."

"What we wanted to do was to end Endeavour in a way that was fitting to all of the enormous work we had put into it over the last 10 years and also to all of the huge support we have had every year from the audience. To not leave anybody feeling short-changed. To leave people feeling emotionally satisfied."
Evans also shared that the ending of the show will also be a way to thank fans for sticking with them for the last decade: "It’s also a thank you, in a way. To say, ‘Thank you so much for sticking with this over the past number of years.’ To honour and respect that."
