It has been confirmed that the Red Arrows will be present at the Royal International Air Tattoo for this year.

The three-day event takes place every July and will be held on Friday, July 14 to Sunday July 16, with crowds of over 170,000 expected to descend on Fairford across the weekend.

Joining the Red Arrows, the Royal International Air Tattoo have also unveiled British Aerospace Hawk Mk.51 and McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet from the Finnish Air Force, two German Army NH90 TTC helicopters, a Leonardo C-27J Spartan from the Lithuanian Air Force and a Hawker Hunter MK.58 that will all be taking part in either flying or static display.

With new aircraft being unmasked every week, there is still plenty to come before this summer’s awe-inspiring event.

Along with the Red Arrows announcement the air show organisers have also extended their Super Early Bird ticket offer until Sunday 5th March, allowing adults to buy tickets at a discounted price and, as ever, all children go free.

Paul Atherton, Chief Executive Officer at Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises said: “It’s always great to be able to announce formally that the Red Arrows will be displaying at RIAT.

“They are a firm favourite of many who attend the event and will as always be a highlight in our packed display programme over the whole weekend.

“Confirmations are now starting to trickle in from overseas participants too, so lots more exciting things to announce over the coming weeks.”

Every year, the aviation showcase enables the event’s parent charity, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, to fulfil its mission to inspire children to explore the amazing world of aviation.

The Air Tattoo raises funds that allow the charity to continue to deliver STEM and aviation experiences for young people all over the UK.
