A WITNESS has described seeing a teenager being detained outside of a Swindon school.
The member of the public, who asked not to be identified, was driving into Dorcan Academy at around 2.40pm on Tuesday (February 28) when they noticed a large police presence in the area.
They also saw what they thought was a teenager 'on the floor' on the corner of the entrance into the school, off of Dorcan Way.
They added that they could see at least three marked police cars, as well as one unmarked car in the area.
"I could see three cop cars and one undercover car, and there were lots of police officers searching for something," they said.
"There was a teenage lad on the floor in the corner, just on the corner by Dorcan school before you go into the car park."
"The young man must have been about 15/16. He was in an all-grey tracksuit with scruffy hair and was sitting in the corner of fences with an officer standing there.
"Officers were checking on top of fences and the area trying to look over gardens."
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed the incident.
They said: “At around 2.25pm on February 28 a teenager was briefly detained to allow officers to conduct enquiries.
"No arrests were made.”
