A new place to eat is opening in Swindon town centre soon.

Hot on the heels of recent additions Taco Bell and Hakka2, the ASAGA Noodle Bar will add another option for hungry shoppers.

Signage for the new eatery has gone up in the store’s window, which is situated between the Flannels clothing store and Hays travel agents on Regent Street.

This new noodle bar is the latest in a growing empire founded and owned by Mr ShuXin, who set up his first in Newport city centre back in 2016.

This was followed by a store in Swansea in 2019 and the most recent opening of a store in Cwmbran in November 2022.

A spokesperson for ASAGA said: “Swindon will be our very first venture into England. It’s aim is to provide a relaxing, neighbourhood-centred eatery with an Oriental/Asian tint.

“The brand of ASAGA Noodle bar is built based on three elements. A simple ordering system, quick and warm serving manners and hot and tasty noodles and toppings, which are made fresh in-store on a daily basis.

“Customers visiting ASAGA Noodle bar can expect quick and tasty noodles to be served with several toppings of their own choice. This includes some of our best sellers such as caramel chicken, honey & chilli chicken and salt and chilli chicken.”

The spokesperson added that the company is committed to keeping its food prices low and affordable for all, despite rising costs in food and ingredients as part of the ongoing cost of living crisis.

“We aim to cover a broad range of people around the area who could order our food as packed meals for lunch or dinner,” they added.

“It is also worth mentioning that ASAGA Noodle Bar operates an open-plan kitchen. Transparency is one of our key concepts, we believe that seeing is trusting.

“An open kitchen simply means that we are able to keep our hygiene level to a high standard and we are offering ‘eating transparency’ as well as visual entertainment and confidently showing diners our transparency over the freshness and wholesomeness of the ingredients”

The planned opening date for ASAGA Swindon will be mid-April, 2023, and work is already underway there.
