A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murdering teenager Owen Dunn.

18-year-old Owen Dunn died after he was fatally stabbed in Mazurek Way, while cycling to meet his girlfriend on December 4.

He was stabbed once in the chest, causing a wound to his heart which killed him.

A police spokesperson said: “A 17-year-old male has been arrested in Swindon this afternoon (March 7) on suspicion of the murder of Owen Dunn.”

A 14-year-old man has already been charged with Owen’s murder and will stand trial in June, but police investigations have been ongoing.

Last week, Crimestoppers released a public appeal for information which promised a reward of up to £20,000 for information that led to the arrest and conviction of those linked to Owen’s murder.

The appeal revealed CCTV images of two bike riders thought to have been involved.

Crimestoppers director of operations Mick Duthie said: “Owen was taken away so cruelly and senselessly at such a young age and his family is heartbroken.
