A driver ended up in a bush beside the M4 following a crash on Wednesday morning as snow fell across the region.
Police officers attended a single-vehicle collision on the M4 near Junction 18 (Tormarton) shortly before 8am.
The vehicle had left the carriageway and had ended up in a bush.
Snow had fallen beside the road and over the nearby bushes as Wiltshire was issued with a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.
Despite the crash, the driver was not injured.
Wiltshire Specialist Operations team posted a tweet on Wednesday morning that said: “RPU are at this collision on the M4 near Junction 18.
“There is a car in this picture that is not on the motorway if you can see it?
“Luckily, there were no injuries. Please keep speeds down and stay out of lanes where slush and snow is present.”
It was accompanied by a photo of the bush involved.
Highways England dealt with the incident following police attendance.
Motorists have been encouraged to take heed of the weather and how it may affect journeys.
A tweet by National Highways said: “In conjunction with the @metoffice National Highways have issued a severe weather alert for snow affecting SE & SW regions.
“Road users are advised to check ahead & plan for disruption to journeys.”
