Swindon is set for an unsettled period of weather after a brief hail shower hit parts of the town on Tuesday.
The town was briefly hit by hail at around 2.30pm on Tuesday.
The Met Office is now predicting heavy showers throughout the rest of the day, with the chance of precipitation rising to 90 per cent between 6pm and 7pm.
While sunny skies may remain for the rest of the afternoon, the weather is due to become cloudier as the evening progresses.
There are currently no weather warnings for Wiltshire, although there are snow and ice warnings for parts of Scotland and the north west.
Looking ahead, the forecast for Wednesday reveals Swindonians will experiences a fine start for most, with hazy sunshine.
"Cloud soon builds with rain moving eastwards. Feeling cold, though milder in the far west. Light winds strengthening later. Maximum temperature 12C."
For Thursday through to Saturday, the Met Office forecast reads: "Remaining unsettled with showers, heavy at times, and longer spells of rain into the weekend. Often windy though turning milder."
It comes after the region was subject to a yellow weather warning for strong winds on Monday.
