The "driving force" behind a Swindon technology school will return to visit this week.
Lord Kenneth Baker is co-founder of the Baker Dearing Educational Trust, set up to promote the establishment of University Technical Colleges (UTCs).
He and South Swindon MP, Sir Robert Buckland, will be visiting UTC Swindon this week, four years since the Baron's most recent visit.
There are currently 48 UTCs in the UK and Lord Baker visits all the UTCs nationwide.
A spokesperson said: “It is our great pleasure to be welcoming Lord Baker, the driving force behind the UTC movement.
“His expertise and insights into STEM education for 14 to 19-year-olds is unparalleled, and he is passionate about adding value to the education system and tackling technical skills crisis across the country.
“We are therefore delighted to be showing him and Sir Robert all of the exciting progress at UTC Swindon.”
The visit will include a tour of building, a meet with student board as well as an employability skills lesson with Year 10 students and engineering in the workshop.
