A food outlet at Swindon Town’s County Ground has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
The Swindon Town Football Club Kiosk serves drinks and sandwiches to fans on matchdays.
It was given the maximum score after the assessment on Saturday, March 11, by the Food Standards Agency.
The standard of hygienic food handling as well as the management of food safety were both adjudged to be of “good” standard.
Rob Angus, chief executive, said: “As a football club we are really pleased that our in-house kiosk offering has been granted a five-star food hygiene rating.
“This is credit to our kiosk and catering team who work tirelessly to ensure we work to the highest standards. This highlights just how seriously we take our levels of cleanliness, the pride we take in our work and the good quality products we provide on a match day.
“Of course, high standards when it comes to food hygiene cannot be compromised and are at the centre of everything we do, as they should be.
“We aren’t stopping here though, and with every penny we make from our kiosks re-invested into the club, we continue to explore ways we can further improve our service, from the range of foods we sell to the levels of sanitation and the environment we serve them.”
