More details have been revealed as a Tesco Express in West Swindon prepares to close for refurbishment.
The store in Freshbrook Village Centre, and the Post Office within it, will be closing on April 22 at 6pm for five weeks.
Post Office wrote a letter to locals informing them of the temporary closure, and Tesco has also confirmed the upcoming work
A spokesperson for Tesco said: “Our Swindon Freshbrook Express store will close from Saturday, April 22 to allow us to carry out a full refurbishment of the site.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes in the short term but look forward to serving customers from our improved store.”
The store's manager, Shane Church, has posted on the Freshbrook community Facebook page to reveal more about what is in store for the branch during its closure.
He said: "There will be no temporary shop and the Post Office will be closed for the time stated above as well.
"With the amount of works needed to the roof and the floor this was unfortunately not feasible and would've meant the works going on for even longer than already.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a service for people to shop at local stores
"Although the aisles will be changing from a vertical to a horizontal layout, the aisle width will be no less than what they are currently."
